BMW Group is one of the world's leading premium automobile manufacturers. Its Shenyang production base is one of BMW's most important global manufacturing and automotive component production facilities, playing a key role in component R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

To support increased production capacity and lean manufacturing requirements, Anhui Ruiyou developed a comprehensive smart logistics solution for BMW's automotive parts raw material warehouse in Shenyang.

The project covers the entire logistics process, including raw material storage, finished-product handling, and outbound operations. By integrating intelligent storage, handling, picking, conveying, and scheduling technologies, the solution enables automated material distribution across multiple warehouse areas and material categories, helping upgrade the factory's overall logistics capabilities.

Our Solution

 

Based on the specific warehousing challenges and production coordination requirements of BMW's automotive component facility, Anhui Ruiyou delivered a customized solution covering the entire process from logistics planning and simulation to system implementation.

 

Multi-Level Intelligent Storage System

 

A comprehensive storage system was established, including an automated raw material warehouse, overhead chain storage areas, finished-product storage areas, and outbound zones.

The solution accommodates automotive components of different sizes, types, and production batches while maximizing the efficient use of both horizontal and vertical warehouse space.

Automated Material Handling

 

The project integrates a range of automated logistics equipment, including:

AGV material handling systems

DPS pick-to-light systems

Automated conveyor lines

Automatic palletizing and depalletizing equipment

These technologies replace traditional manual warehouse operations and automate key processes from receiving and storage to picking and outbound handling.

 

Integrated Logistics Management

 

The solution integrates the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), and logistics scheduling system into a unified management platform.

This enables coordinated equipment operation, synchronized inventory information, centralized task scheduling, and seamless data exchange across the logistics process.

Before implementation, logistics simulation software was used to analyze material flow capacity, traffic congestion, and transportation routes.
