Ultra-Low Mechanical Design for Dense Pallet Storage

 

The RFSJ-1500 is a mechanical four-way pallet shuttle developed for automated pallet storage with a rated load capacity of 1500 kg. Unlike hydraulic lifting models, this series uses a mechanical cam lifting structure. Its main design feature is the 126 mm ultra-low body, which helps reduce the vertical space occupied by the shuttle itself.

Two body configurations are available. The RFSJ-1145-0980-126(-LD) measures 1145 × 980 × 126 mm, while the RFSJ-1145-0850-126(-LD) measures 1145 × 850 × 126 mm. According to the product design data, the low-profile structure can improve storage capacity by approximately 8%–10%. This makes the automated warehouse shuttle system suitable for projects where more usable storage locations are required within an existing building height.

The mechanical structure also keeps the lifting and direction-changing mechanism relatively simple, which can be useful in warehouse projects that place importance on equipment accessibility and long-term maintenance.

Mechanical Cam Lifting Without a Hydraulic Circuit

 

The RFSJ-1500 uses mechanical cams for lifting and direction changing. It does not require a hydraulic oil circuit. As a result, the equipment avoids issues related to hydraulic seal aging, oil leakage, or changes in hydraulic oil condition in low-temperature environments.

Mechanical transmission also reduces the number of hydraulic-related maintenance items. For buyers comparing different heavy-load shuttle structures, this gives the RFSJ-1500 a clear technical position: a low-body mechanical solution for 1500 kg pallet handling.

Its unloaded maximum travel speed is 1.5 m/s with an acceleration of 1 m/s². Under load, the maximum speed is 1 m/s with an acceleration of 0.3 m/s². Positioning accuracy is ±2 mm, precise positioning takes 2.5 seconds, and both lifting and direction-changing time are 3 seconds.

 

Pallet Selection, Charging and Safety Configuration

 

The RFSJ-1145-0980-126(-LD) supports pallet lengths of 1000–1600 mm and widths of 1131–1200 mm. A 1200 × 1200 mm pallet is recommended. The RFSJ-1145-0850-126(-LD) supports pallet lengths of 1000–1600 mm and widths of 770–1130 mm, with 1200 × 1000 mm pallets recommended. Pallet dimensions can also be customized according to the project.

The shuttle uses a 48V 32Ah lithium iron phosphate battery. Charging takes approximately 1–2 hours, and operating time is approximately 6–8 hours. The default charging method is contactless charging, while wireless charging is available as an option.

Standard safety functions include single-point track obstacle detection, pallet posture detection, derailment detection, goods detection, low-battery protection, audible and visual alarms, and an emergency stop button. Radar-based track obstacle detection, limit-position QR codes, and wireless charging are optional.
